Recently I was able to attend the Ant Man premiere in Time’s Square, which was glamorous and overwhelming all at once.  The theater was huge, and as I sat with my complimentary popcorn and super-sized drink, I took into account the array of bloggers present. Everyone seemed excited, as well as myself, even though I had my doubts about the movie before I was invited.

Before the lights dimmed and we all settled into a silence, actor Paul Rudd appeared for a brief commentary about the film, what it’s like to be part of the Avengers team, and how much he appreciated us coming out. Then the movie began.I have to admit that I was was a little bit more than pleased with the movie. Even though I’m not familiar with the comics and storyline behind this unexpected hero, I was happy with the redeeming story of a troubled man, however cliche that may be. There was comedy and emotion, and of course action. And even though the classic Ant Man does not join the Avengers, I’m interested to see where this new story goes and how they tie it into the multitude of other Marvel movies out there.

All and all I enjoyed the film, the appearance of Paul Rudd, and the community that it brought together. I’d most definitely recommend it anyone who love the Marvel’s series, even though I personally like some of the others more. It’s definitely a family film, but one that will not bore the parents and will not be too much for the kids to handle.

Flipping through the pages of  fashion magazines, you might think the editors spend 5k or more a month on shoes and buy a new wardrobe every season, but the reality is, they don’t. We at Indialynrose want to inspire your personal style—and what’s more personal than making the most of what you’ve got? Here, we’ve gathered some tried-and-true tips to making your clothes look luxe, even when they aren’t. Some might seem obvious, while others are new and exciting. It’s not rocket science, but it certainly commands your attention.

1. Don’t be afraid to mix high and low:

Feel free to mix that fast fashion top from h&m with a pencil skirt from J.crew. Mixing high and low street pieces  makes the outfit look even more expensive

2. Get it tailored:

Taking the extra few days from purchase to have your neighborhood tailor nip and tuck your latest great find, versus ripping the tags off and wearing right away, will elevate the final product way beyond its original value.

3. Beauty matters:

Polished hair and makeup elevate any look.Sleek blowout, red lip, flawless skin—these are the ultimate finishing touches.

4. Layer on the accessories:

There is just something about structural, gilded extras—whether a bag or jewelry or both—that make you look like you stepped out of the pages of a magazine.

5. Dress in Monochrome:

Not only is it incredibly elongating, but a monochrome outfit always looks intentional and put together. Just make sure your whites are bright and your blacks match.

6. Layer—a great jacket is your best friend:

A tailored jacket is an fashion maven’s secret weapon. It elevates denim, polishes flow-y dresses, looks chic thrown over the shoulders and takes slim pants to the board room.

7. Splurge on timeless pieces:

Forgo the trends each season and focus on purchasing pieces that are forever: Silk cami, pencil skirt,  black moto, belted trench,  black pump —every time you reach for them, you won’t regret it.

8. Match your shoes and your bag:

When in doubt, keeping your accessories in the same color palette will ensure your look comes off as intentional, not haphazard.

Melissa McCarthy Seven7 will Launch this August!  At the end of last year, Melissa shared that she is teaming up with clothing manufacturer, Sunrise Brands, to create an all size fashion line that will also include accessories and beauty! This collection is not JUST a plus size line, but a collection that will be for ALL of us- plus and straight. Go ahead Melissa for inclusion! The actress shared the first images from her debut collection, Melissa McCarthy Seven7,—and color me impressed! The line meets the everyday gal’s needs, with a versatile range of pieces and sizes (ranging from 4 to 28) that all ring in at or under $150

Now, if you didn’t know, the hilariously funny and witty  actress once had design aspirations and attended Fashion Institute of Technology before she even stepped foot into acting! So it is not just a random venture! “It’s always what I thought I would do, I went into clothing and textiles in college and moved here with Brian Atwood. I was going to finish at FIT and he made me do stand-up on the second night.” But now that McCarthy’s back to fashion, she’s incorporating her charismatic comedienne personality into new line. That means plenty of vibrant patterns and playful silhouettes throughout. And if pockets are your thing, then you’re in luck, because McCarthy digs em’ too”I want pockets in my dresses,I put pockets in everything! I want pockets inside my pockets. You may have to wait until September to get your hands on Melissa’s new line, you can check out a sneak peek of the fashion line below

“I think women want to be able to dress for their mood,” McCarthy said. “My pieces mix and match, because some days we want to be rock ’n’ roll and some days we want to be more polished. I love that I’ll be able to chat with other women about fashion and see how they’re wearing my clothes.” “And when you go above a size 12, you don’t lose your love of fashion” Melissa McCarthy to WWD.

I am so exited about the line!does it live up to your expectations? will you be purchasing the line when it comes out? Let me know in the comments
