Anyways, to back to the point, I am going to be reviewing my favorite makeup pieces that I don’t think I will ever stop using! So let’s dive right in!
First off is foundation! Now I have searched long and hard to find a good foundation that will work with my combination skin type. I don’t break out so much as I get really shiny around the T-zone and have slight inflammation around my nose that can be quite bothersome. Personally, I have always liked sporting a more natural look, so I really don’t like it when you can see creases or the foundation becomes dry and caked in places. This is not to say that I don’t like full coverage products, I just don’t like the downsides to them. So while in the beauty aisle in Target, I was trying to decide between Maybelline Fit Me or Revlon ColorStay foundation (both of which would probably be slightly too much coverage) when I came across the Rimmel London section. Now, I love Rimmel’s powder (will be mentioned later on) and I am practically a walking advertisement for their Kate Moss Lipstick line, so when I saw this little tube of foundation claiming to last 25 hours, I just threw caution to the wind.
Turns out that this stuff is absolutely AMAZING! It totally soaks up the oil on my face without becoming dry or cracked and delivers completely natural coverage that ACTUALLY LASTS! A downside is that it does feel slightly sticky on, but a plus to that is that it practically grabs onto powder makeup, like blush and coverup, and helps them last as well! When applying you don’t need to use a lot. I just use my fingers to apply and it is very simple, in other words a little goes a long way! I would recommend this product if you have skin like me or want something slightly more natural for school.
Next is powder! Even though I practically always use powder, I am not so dedicated to finding the perfect fit for me. Then I watched a video by Zoella (my favorite!) and she recommended the Rimmel London Stay Matte Finish powder. So I decided to experiment a little bit and now I love it! It does not stay on for a super long time, but it can hold me through the day. Plus, it is very sheer and natural so I don’t look like I have a ton of layers on after I have applied my foundation. I am very happy with the Rimmel foundation and powder together since they compliment each other and are very easy to wear. I would definitely recommend buying this product if you are looking for a natural look or just a sheer powder to balance out a full-coverage foundation.
The next favorite is Concealer! I was never very knowledge in the world of concealers until I watched a couple of videos by Zoella and became interested. The first one I ever bought was NYX HD Concealer, which I really, really like. It ran out fairly quickly but that is okay since it is not that expensive. I have tried one other since, the Mabelline Fit Me Concealer, but it did not achieve the level of coverage I was looking for. So I have gone back to this fav and I can’t be happier! I would definitely recommend buying this if you are looking for an even coverage, slightly dry concealer that lasts a long time and isn’t very expensive.

We are setting out to design and produce an ethically made kids lifestyle brand that includes all the staples your kids need. We’ll make it simple for you to find great children’s clothes online and a no brainer for your wild ones to get dressed! Plus, you shouldn’t have to pay the same amount for your kids’ outfits as you do for your’s. Kids are half as big, grow twice as fast, and consider grass stains part of the charm. In the coming months, Wildly Co. will be providing the best of the basic kids clothes direct to you. No driving around town with kids in tow, no big box retail mark up…still all the fun.
How did the idea for your brand come about?
We have four small boys, and it seems like we fly through clothes. I was spending tons of money on cheap garments that barely held up through one kid, let alone four. So, I set out to figure out how I could make an impact on the kids’ apparel industry.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started in the apparel industry just like I’ve gotten started in all the industries I’m involved in. I had an idea, and I took to Google. We really live in an unprecedented age of information. If there is something you want to know and understand, there is virtually no barrier for most people.
How did you get the background and skills necessary to run this type of business?
Like I said, Google is an entrepreneurs best friend. You can either find the information you need, or find someone who can help you learn it. We did a little of both. We self-learned a lot of the information necessary to run a small apparel company, and we also hired a couple of consultants to help us learn things faster. That was extremely valuable in the long run.
How long have you been in business?
What do you plan to do with your business after your kickstarter campaign ends? In the next year? In the next five years?
Well, after the Kickstarter ends, we have to get to work with our production partners to actually get the garments produced. We have samples now, but we’ll be able to place a full production order. That’s really exciting!
In the next year, it is my goal to really educate our customers and potential customers on the negative aspects of fast-fashion while still maintaining a positive and hopeful voice. We are simply trying to make it easy for parents to make a good choice. We want to prove to them that we’re good to our word; fun, easy, good.
In 5 years, I’d love to see us have a really established and loyal customer base. I’d love to be working with several factories and also impacting the employees lives on a lot of levels. Our biggest hope is that families would be served well through our business–so that’s really important to us!
What are the biggest challenges for running this business?
The upfront costs are challenging for sure. The barrier to entry is still pretty high in the apparel industry. It’s opaque and difficult to navigate. But, we’ve been able to make relationships with people who make it as easy as possible, and we’re so grateful for that.
Any advice for anyone wanting to start a business?
I always say, just start. You are the only one standing in your way. Nothing has to be perfect to start, but if you don’t start you’ll never refine your ideas or product. You can think and think and plan and plan for ages, but it’s more helpful to iterate once you’re already in the marketplace and getting feedback.
